COMMERCIAL UNDERWRITING SUPERVISOR
COLUMBIA, SC
Southern Mutual Church Insurance Company (SMCIC) has an immediate opening for a full time Commercial Underwriting Supervisor responsible for handling commercial underwriting responsibilities such as new business review, renewal review, endorsement processing and customer service. This position will supervise and support a team of Underwriters and Underwriting Assistants as assigned.
Qualifications for this position (required):
- This position is in our Columbia SC home office. Candidates must be near Columbia, SC.
- 8 years - experience in commercial or personal lines of insurance
- Excellent computer skills
- Associates degree or equivalent agency/insurance experience
- Excellent customer service skills
Qualifications preferred but not required:
Education-
- Recognized insurance designations: CISR, CIC, CPCU, CRM, AU
- Previous supervisory/leadership experience
Internal Contacts:
- Daily contact with direct underwriting reports
- Various department employees
External Contacts:
- Contact with policyholders, agents, etc
